still be on the loose. we go to justin with denver affiliate. justin, set the scene. tell us what is going on. >> we have been given information the chief of police will address the media in 15 minutes to confirm some details of what happened. it was after midnight, two packed theaters, premiere of "dark knight," and an individual stood up in the crowd, turned, faced the crowd, with body arm our on, wearing a gas mask and had at least one long gun. a witness heard two what sounded like bombs. we believe that to be tear gas. that caused mass panic. people tried to run from the theater. and the people were moving targets. the gunman or gunmen opened fire hitting multiple people. we have confirmed there are ten people dead inside the theater, and several of them children. a baby was shot at point blank range and the family gathered around them screaming. they were very upset. a shooter was taken into today quickly. this is a large theater. we are told that there were police on the scene when it happened. one of the shooters was in custody quickly. >> what can you tell us about the sh

knocking out power to thousands of people. marianne rafferty is here with a closer look at that for us. good morning mary ann. >> mother nature unleashing powerful storms. 200 thousand people in ohio, new york and pennsylvania in the dark with no power. take a look at this home video. in muncie, pennsylvania capturing what some believe was a tornado. the storm bringing on heavy downpours and high winds that up rooted trees. the share raves office in pennsylvania confirming a woman was killed when a tree smashed down on top of her car. she was trying to seek shelter while at a camp site. a man was not inside of a home when a tree came down. a possible tornado in elmira, new york. winds at 60 miles an hour. hospitals have been put on disaster status. the national weather service headed to the area to see if it was an actual terrorister. people saw blinding rain and hail. people saw flash flooding and downed trees from the storm. the storm taking down power lines and tearing down trees there as well. the storm forced 900 flights to be canceled. the heist number was at new york's laguardia
